Sherwood Pumps was started by Richard Sherwood in the garage of his home in 1999. Originating from humble beginnings, Sherwood Pumps is proud to have expanded over the years to become a key supplier of pumps and related services in South Africa. Sherwood Pumps has stayed ahead of industry developments and technological changes, while developing strong partnerships with clients and suppliers.

Richard completed his training with Stewarts and Lloyds, where he worked his way up to Branch Manager of the Richards Bay office, and then to the General Sales Manager position at the Durban regional office. After this, he opened the first branch of Orbit Pumps in KwaZulu-Natal in 1994. A few years later, Richard decided it was time to start his own business and so Sherwood Pumps opened its door in October of 1999. Taking the owner-managed business from strength to strength over the last two decades, Richard and his team bring their years of expertise and experience to the industry.

The success of Sherwood Pumps is a direct result of the combined experience, dedication and skill of the whole team, as well as their central focus of “quality through commitment and service”.

Sherwood Pumps has, over the years, provided solutions for private, industrial and commercial applications, supplying and installing leading brands of pumps and related equipment.

Sherwood Pumps is a recognised supplier and installer of a range of elite agencies. Sherwood Pumps now imports specialised hot oil pumps, used in many industrial applications.

Throughout years of steady growth, Sherwood Pumps has been able to create many job opportunities. Our fully-equipped workshop and highly-skilled installation crews are able to undertake installations of new projects, as well as repairs to most types of pumps.
